Meet the Board & Volunteers

Administrative Director
Alisha Fairchild
Alisha stepped into directorship with a strong desire to see WCB thrive and make a positive impact on our community and surrounding counties. Her direct connection to the studio is her daughter Evelyn who has been dancing with WCB for four years. She homeschools her three children and works part time in addition to her volunteer role at WCB. Alisha is most passionate about singing and enjoys using her voice to lead others in corporate worship. When she's not working outside the home or volunteering, you will most likely find her listening to Shane and Shane or Keith and Kristin Getty while cleaning her home or providing for her family through acts of service. She is humbled by the opportunity to be part of WCB leadership and she’s amazed at how God has moved through and provided for this studio throughout it’s history. She's looking forward to being part of God’s story at WCB!

Assistant Director
Rebecca Nixon
I joined the WCB Board in the Spring of 2024. I have over 10 years experience working for various non-profit organizations, most recently serving for just over 4 years as the pastoral associate at a small Catholic Mission in Eastern Kentucky, and am thrilled to be able to offer any knowledge and experience in whatever ways they can be of service. As a child, I took ballet long enough to dance in one recital, as a bumblebee. {A very cute & chubby bumblebee. ;)} I was also involved in theater, band, and choir from middle school through college. I loved playing Jack's Mother in the Lexington Children's Theater production of Into the Woods. I think it's my favorite (fictional) role to date. I've been married to my husband, Harold, for 14 years and we've been blessed 12 children; 8 little saints in Heaven and 4 rambunctious saints in the making here with us. We met when I was the youth minister at St Joseph Catholic Church, here in Winchester. He approached me after Mass and when I asked if he was interested in volunteering to help with the youth group, he emphatically said that he hated kids and absolutely would not be helping. I think God had a good laugh that day. When I'm not working on things for WCB or raising rambunctious saints, you can find me playing D&D, reading (love a good cozy mystery), painting/drawing, writing, cooking, and spending time with friends & family. However, since these kids require a lot of time and energy, it's not unusual for me to doze off while attempting any of these... except cooking, usually. My prayer for WCB is that, as we continue to to seek God's will and remain faithful to Him, we are blessed with growth, service, evangelization, and continued fulfillment of our mission. As we praise God with dancing, may we all; dancers, staff, volunteers, and audience; be affirmed in or come to know the beautiful truth of how great our Heavenly Father is and just how very beloved we all are to Him.

Treasurer
Hannah Parr
Hannah Parr has been a part of the Winchester Christian Ballet family since she began dancing at the age of five. She discontinued dancing around the fifth grade but once her daughters discovered a love for dance there was only one ballet studio she wanted them to attend! God made a way for Hannah to be a stay-at-home mom and she has a willingness to serve. God gave her the opportunity to excel in accounting classes, as well as serving with her father to maintain her home church's financials. She also received a QuickBooks Certification to become a bookkeeper. With all these opportunities it seemed God was preparing a way for her to serve WCB in a way that is near and dear to her heart. She stepped into being treasurer in the Spring of 2024.

Costume Mistress
Diane Osborn
Diane has been the costume mistress for 4 years and assisted Mary Bolar with the costumes for several years beforehand. She has been the Marley Floor Team Leader for 7 years. She has been part of the studio since 2011 when her daughter, Ginny, began ballet and who is beginning her college career majoring in ballet at Point Park University. Diane was a registered nurse for 10 years and then homeschooled her 4 children over a span of 30 years. She is an avid gardener, hiker, and camper. She attends Bethesda Church in Mt. Sterling. A favorite verse of hers is II Corinthians 12:9 which states, “My grace is sufficient for you; My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Diane says, “I love this verse because although we might not welcome challenges, God loves them. God is in the details.”

Marley Floor Manager
Nicole Sparks
Nicole is a dedicated and passionate board member of Winchester Christian Ballet, a non-profit organization close to her heart. With a background in homeschooling her daughters Audrey and Rebecca, Nicole has always been actively involved in her children's lives and interests. Audrey's love for dancing since the age of 7 sparked Nicole's involvement with Winchester Christian Ballet, where she has been volunteering and contributing her time and skills since. Nicole's commitment to the organization led her to join the board in 2019, where she continues to play a vital role in supporting its mission and programs. When she's not busy homeschooling her girls or serving on the board, Nicole can often be found crocheting, a hobby she enjoys in her free time. Her dedication, creativity, and passion for the arts make her a valuable asset to the Winchester Christian Ballet community.

Sponsorship Coordinator
Melanie Hammond
Melanie is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of six, two of whom presently dance with WCB. She returned to the Board last year after a long hiatus, and works in the fundraising capacity and in any way she can help the Director! Melanie grew up dancing and is overjoyed to help lead and support WCB in any way possible. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Operations Mentor
Rhonda Geogerian
Rhonda Geogerian has been part of WCB since 2012. She has been an active member of the board for several years, was Director from 2021-2023, and continues to remain an asset to our leadership team. Rhonda is passionate about the Lord and has a heart for service; she is an entrepreneur and brings much experience to our team. Her daughter Autumn joined WCB when she was six. WCB has been instrumental in her daughter’s life; helping her grow in confidence and a love for dance and the arts. Her daughter had the opportunity to take an instructor role at WCB and taught several of our younger classes during her senior year. Rhonda says, “There is no better path I could have chosen for her other than joining this studio.”

Graphic Designer
Theresa Carroll
Theresa Carroll volunteers as a graphic designer for WCB. She has worked as a designer professionally for 12 years and is excited to contribute her skills to the studio. Her daughter, Zelie, has been dancing with the studio for two years. Theresa lives in Winchester with her husband and three children, where they are part of the community at St. Joseph Catholic Church. When not working and taking care of her three active children, she enjoys baking and embroidery.

Grounds Keeper
Tim Keltner
Tim Keltner, a mailman by trade, is the Grounds Keeper for the WCB studio. Tim has always enjoyed serving whatever community he’s a part of to the best of his ability. His daughters both enjoy helping him with the yard work and he loves seeing all the students learning about God, dancing and having the best time doing it. He loves spending time with his family and church. He enjoys activities outdoors like hiking, camping, and various sporting activities. He collects Pokémon cards, loves to read, and enjoys carpentry when there’s free time to spare. "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." -Ephesians 2:8-10

Studio Caretaker
Megan Morgan
Megan is the volunteer studio caretaker and has been involved with WCB for just over a year. Her daughter’s love for dance has been her connection to the studio and cleaning and caretaking is a way she can give back to this community and serve. Megan is excited to see these girls grow, learn, and support each other as they share their talents and serve & seek the Lord! Megan lives in Winchester with her husband and 3 kids where she homeschools and homesteads. She enjoys hiking, baking, camping, and works as a leather craftsman for a local bookbinding company. “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us, a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison – that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom, toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, You may know how you ought to answer each person.” -Colossians 4:2-6
